went to pretty good preparation races (half marathon in 1h 12:46 in Linz and the Seebenstein fun run with top times and top ranking), it at 23.5. the first time this season in the sprint distance triathlon in Riegersburg (2nd place overall with very good mileage!)
On 5 June I start the first time this year on the Olympic distance. Crime scene was Kirchbichl. With the fifth overall Place and the 2nd Place in the Elite 1, this was also a successful result.
The year's State Championships over the Olympic distance on the Danube island found on 12 June. The 3rd best swim time, a great bike split and a more naja or less adequate run I also managed since the 5th Overall.!
start a week later I took over the sprint distance triathlon at this year's Neufeld. With an undisputed start - finish the last game shape for the Ironman review was very positive about the stage.
On 4 I started in July for the first time in my career over the long Ironman distance. 3.8 km swim, 180km bike and a marathon was finally be overcome. As the 28th overall I was able to emerge from the water. After a relatively good wheel power (4h 53 ') before the marathon I was still on the second Place in my age group. The marathon was long but the "feast" because instead of running I had to fill up on the many aid stations forces. With an overall time of 9h 53 minutes should not be unhappy with my debut.
The 2nd Half of the season began with a practice race in the mountain time trial in Pöttsching. On 14 August I started in the season of triathlon as Pöttsching cyclists and was able to win with the team a clear victory.
On 15 August went this year Ausee Triathlon on the stage. With the overall second Square and the Lower Austrian national champion on the sprint distance was able to successfully return home.
The Lower Austrian Championship on Olympic distance was then on 12 September held in Krems. In a very strongly occupied the 4th race, I could Place overall and win again the Lower Austrian national champion.
